During the process of Reiki the practitioner accesses and serves as a channel for life force (chi or qi) by placing their hands on or just above the client’s body to activate healing within receptive points. Then they move progressively with a passive touch throughout 12 positions, utilizing their skill and intuition to find “blockages”. As the flow of energy is strengthened, healing occurs. This practice may be booked as a 45, 60, or 90 minute session.
Reiki Massage combines the therapeutic techniques of traditional massage with the energy balancing benefits of Reiki. The session will begin with energy work to bring the body to relaxation, followed by traditional massage, and ending with a chakra balancing to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into harmony. This signature work may be booked as a 60 or 90-minute session.
Another way to encourage the body’s own healing mechanisms to improve functionality and enhance health is through Cranial Sacral Therapy (Massage). A noninvasive method of enhancing the craniosacral system by palpating the synarthrodial joints of the cranium and the spine and pelvic bones. It is said to help with insomnia, sinus issues, headaches, IBS, fibromyalgia, and trauma recovery to name a few. Offered as a 60-minute session.
While we don’t currently have a Certified Reflexologist on our staff, Pressure Point Therapy of the Feet has the same effect. This involves the application of pressure to specific reflux points of the feet that correspond and stimulate other parts or organs of the body. This can be booked as a 45-minute treatment specifically or incorporated into a 60 or 90 minute massage session.
